Why local matters when you're booking clearance in Ayrshire.
Ayrshire covers a 1,200 km² stretch from the Clyde coast at Largs and Wemyss Bay south through Ardrossan, Irvine, Troon, Prestwick and Ayr, then inland through Kilmarnock, Galston and Cumnock. We run scheduled clearance routes through every postcode in this footprint — KA1 through KA30 — using a 3.5t and 7.5t van combination sized for both town-centre access and rural farm tracks.
Most Ayrshire postcodes get a same-day or next-day site visit, with the clearance itself booked inside the same working week. Coastal jobs (Largs, Wemyss Bay, Saltcoats, Troon, Ayr) are typically reached within 30–45 minutes of leaving the depot; inland jobs (Kilmarnock, Galston, Mauchline, Cumnock) within 45–60 minutes. Emergency same-day uplifts can usually be slotted in by 3 pm if you call before 11.
The Ayrshire housing stock is unusually varied — Edwardian seaside terraces in Largs and Ayr, ex-mining cottages in the East Ayrshire villages, 1960s council stock around Kilmarnock and Irvine, modern new-build estates in Stewarton and Prestwick, and isolated farmhouses inland. We've cleared every type, including hoarded properties, listed buildings and end-of-life smallholdings.
The most common Ayrshire jobs we run are bereavement and probate clearances (especially in the older coastal towns where many residents downsize from family homes), end-of-tenancy resets for landlords across Irvine and Kilmarnock, full estate clearances ahead of property sales, and bulky single-item collections (sofas, fridges, mattresses) where the council uplift wait is running 3–4 weeks.
